Donald Moncayo of the Amazon Defense Coalition, describes how the Texaco judge stood in this location and told the judge, "Today is the day that we prove to you that the plaintiffs in the case are trying to lie to you by telling you that this water is contaminated. And we are going to take one sample of water from this and show you. Just by looking at it, you might even think this water is clean."

Pablo Fajardo, the lawyer, representing the 30K plaintiffs, said, "I am going to show you that this water is contaminated."

He then proceeded to demonstrate what happens when livestock, pigs, chickens, jungle animals and humans go down to the water and attempt to drink it. As you can see, it doesn't take much to stir up the bottom and show how much oil is in this body of water.
