Last week, Blackmagic dropped a bombshell when they, out of nowhere, announced the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K! That's right, the Pocket 6k!!! The BMPCC 6K has the ability to shoot 6K Blackmagic Raw as well as 5.7k Blackmagic Raw and 4k ProRes. Overall, it is mostly the same camera as the Pocket 4k just with an EF mount.
So on today's episode of Gear Review, we're just doing a quick unboxing video as well as shooting some initial test footage with the Pocket 6k. Then we took some test images with both the BMPCC 6K and the Pocket 4k and did a side by side comparison to see if you can spot a noticeable difference between the two cameras.
Curious to hear your thoughts. Is the Pocket 6k overkill? Or do you think it's worth the low price of $2500?
