Kokou Vodu is a warrior deity among the :Eʋe people of West Africa. Kokou is a highly trustworthy deity, and the adherents are highly disciplined as they are required to reach a limitless point where no object can penetrate their body in times of trance. To be initiated into Kokou Vodu demands a great deal of courage, loyalty, discipline, continual learning, and selfless commitment through several days and night in the forest, encountering the Kokou Vodu. The final stage of the initiation is the passing out where the individual has to carry the Kokou basin, containing several sacred articles. No crane on this planet will be able to lift the Kokou basin, but only sacred words spoken by the adherents.
