A planespotting trip to an airport that has been on my bucket list. London Heathrow Airport, located in the United Kingdom, is Europe's busiest airport. There's just flight after flight arriving onto one runway while the other is being used for departures. Oftentimes arrivals are put into holding patterns before lining up. Mornings sometimes see the two runways being used for arrivals while there aren't as many departures yet. On this given day, runway 27R was being used for arrivals and 27L for departures until around 3 PM. After flipping, I moved to the 27L approach for the rest of the day (the famous Myrtle Avenue). What fascinated me most about London Heathrow was spotting the aircraft and airlines that cannot be found in the United States. It was neat seeing Iberia A320 neos, KLM E2s, Finnair A321s, Vueling, and many more! What was even cooler was spotting exotic airlines from around the world, such as Gulf Air, Royal Brunei, Vistara, and Tianjin Airlines. I have always wanted to catch Royal Brunei since it's such a cool, exotic airline that isn't really common around the world. Overall, this has been the best planespotting trip so far!
