Update: This is a hardware issue meaning that your phone needs to be repaired.
The following error occurs every time I try to format the SD card on my Galaxy S 5: command '10 volume partition disk:179,64 public' failed with '400 10 Command failed' This started some time after upgrading my Galaxy S5 to Official Android Marshmallow. The strangest thing is that it gives this error no matter the type of SD card I use (8 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB, etc.). I tried the following without any success: 1. Formatted the SD cards on my Windows PC. 2. Checked the SD cards for errors & bad sectors. For now, the only workaround seems to be reverting back to Android Lollipop, as this seems to be a software bug in Android Marshmallow.
