Are you looking for a rare bottle of whisky for your collection? If so then these Highland Park Corti bottles would be a perfect definition of a rare whisky:
🥃 Bottled 35 years ago (so many of the bottles have been consumed leaving very few in existence)
🥃 They contain 1960s Highland Park aged 20-24 years old
🥃 Bottled by the incredible Corti Brothers who had way fewer releases than the likes of Samaroli so are much less common on the market
🥃 Less than 10 auction results for each bottle - ever!
🥃 Each cost less than the price of a Macallan Private Eye
But as you’ll see this really doesn’t affect the price too much - each of these bottles can be bought for less than the price of a Private Eye which you can find in auction every month.
So this really goes to show two things:
1 - being rare really doesn’t make a bottle valuable in the current market
2 - the market is misguided!
Why are these bottles less valuable than a Private Eye? This is genuinely amazing whisky, from a legendary bottler, that was bottled 35 years ago, and has very rarely been sold - anywhere!
In my opinion the market will change over the next 10 years as people realise how undervalued these old and rare bottles really are.
Anyway, I hope you like the video and would love to hear what you think of it.
