Talking about color with Mario Trimarchi, architect and designer, and also winner of the XXIV Compasso d’Oro award. “When I reflect about how to end a project I always think that color already did that for itselft. Color is destiny, it’s not a superstructure of a designed intelligence declined according to a style, an era or tastes.
Color belongs to things, then there are concepts.
"When you buy a vehicle it’s perfect, so it can only get worse. We live in a society that came up with this concept, which is a horrible concept. While the materials of architecture have their own life, that is indipendent, all the materials that have to do with motorcycles, cars, and also bikes and kick scooters, can only get worse. If you design a copper motorcycle you enjoy the passing of time on it and you compare for the first time a design object that moves/in motion to the beauty and nobility of the roof of a house that gets old in the same way. So if you make a short circuit between the times of the industrial product and those of architecture, you see that you put back together an urban harmony that normally isn’t there".
