RO/ Cluj-Napoca, numit doar Cluj până în 1974 și în limbajul cotidian, (în latină Claudiopolis, maghiară Kolozsvár, în germană Klausenburg, în dialectul săsesc: Kleusenburch, în idiș קלויזנבורג Cloizânburg) este municipiul de reședință al județului Cluj, Transilvania, România.
Este al doilea oraș ca populație din țară. Cu o istorie de peste două milenii, orașul este supranumit Inima Transilvaniei sau Orașul comoară.
Clujul este situat în nordul Depresiunii Transilvaniei, între Munții Apuseni și Câmpia Transilvaniei, pe valea râului Someșul Mic la confluența cu râul Nadăș și cinci alte pâraie. Datorită geografiei locale, orașul s-a dezvoltat mai ales pe axa est-vest, de-a lungul limitei sudice a Podișului Someșan, fiind flancat la sud de dealul Feleac, iar la nord de dealul Lomb.



EN/ Cluj-Napoca, called only Cluj until 1974 and in everyday language, (in Latin Claudiopolis, Hungarian Kolozsvár, in German Klausenburg, in the Saxon dialect: Kleusenburch, in Yiddish קלויזןנבורג Cloizânburg) is the municipality of residence of Cluj County, Transylvania, Romania.
It is the second most populous city in the country. With a history of over two millennia, the city is nicknamed the Heart of Transylvania or the Treasure City.
Cluj is located in the north of the Transylvanian Depression, between the Apuseni Mountains and the Transylvanian Plain, on the Someșul Mic river valley at the confluence with the Nadăș river and five other streams. Due to the local geography, the city developed mainly on the east-west axis, along the southern limit of the Someșan Plateau, being flanked to the south by the Feleac hill, and to the north by the Lomb hill.
