Giant retinal Tear | This was a case of Giant Retinal Tear for which 25 gauge vitrectomy was carried out. Peripheral shaving was done. PFCL heavy liquid was injected to gradually unfold the tear and flatten the macula. The ill defined membranes over the two starfolds were peeled off using the forceps. The everted edge of the giant retinal tear was flattened using the forceps edge. After this 360 endolaser barrage was carried out. Air PFCL exchange was done taking care that the edges of the tear are kept dry throughout to avoid slippage.
