💫 In this video I'm playing 4 traditional Korean games with my brother! A while back I bought a Korean Boardgame subscription box from Inspire Me Korea and I finally had the time to make a video with it. 💫 THE GAMES: Omok, Gonggi, JegiChagi & Sadaritagi

💫Omok Game Rules
If you don't have a grid, you can draw it yourself on a piece of paper with a pen/pencil.

1. Each player picks a stone to use; the more experienced player usually usues the white stones, while the less experienced player uses the black stones. The player using the black stones goes first.
2. Each player takes turns placing their stones on different points on the board. When a stone is placed, it cannot be moved.
3. If a player connects three or four stones in a row, they should let the other player know by saying "Three!" or "Four!"
4. There is no limit to how many stones a player can use during a game, but the round is over once a player connects 5 stones in a row, horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

💫Gonggi Game Rules
You need 5 small balls (like in the video) or 5 small pebbles.

Level 1: The stones are thrown and the first player picks a stone to throw up in the air. Whilst in the air, the player picks up another stone while trying to catch the falling stone. These steps are repeated until all the stones have been caught.

Level 2: The stones are thrown in the air again, however, this time the player picks up two stones at a time.

Level 3: The stones are picked up three-at-a-time as the other stone falls.

Level 4: The player throws one stone in the air, places the others on the surface, and catches the falling stone. The player then throws the same stone again, and tries to pick up four stones before the airborne stone falls.

Level 5: The player throws the stones from the palm of their hand into the air. Whilst in the air, the player switches their hand backside up. The stones are then caught on the back of the hand. Then, the player throws the stones in the air again and catches them. The player is scored by how many stones are caught.

💫JegiChagi Game Rules (Basically Korean Hacky Sack)
Try to keep the Jegi up in the air for as long as you can while using your feet to kick it. You can also play this with multiple people/ a group :D

💫Ladder-Climbing Game Rules (Sadaritagi game)
1. Draw one vertical line for each option (a person, a dish, an activity, a movie, etc)
2. Draw horizontal lines randomly between the vertical lines.
3. Players begin at the top of a vertical line and, using a pen or a highlighter (or a finger), draw their journey down the line. The trick is when you reach a horizontal line, you must move to the next vertical line and proceed downward.
4. Repeat this everytime you encounter a horizontal line until you reach the very bottom.
