Katelyn Tuohy just kind of blew away the field in the 2018 indoor States 1500m section 3 race as she set a sophomore record and meet record at the distance at 4:23.38 as she completed a trifecta of States wins following her 1500m outdoor States win (and NBNO Nationals win in the Mile) as a freshman and 2018 Class A victory in XC (and NXN Nationals win) as a sophomore. A week after this race, Tuohy would opt for the 2 Mile at NBIN Nationals and win in a time of 9:58.89.
This continues the presentation of films from the 2018 indoor States that are being rolled out as part of a complete release of that meet's track action. Note that films of the T&F and XC States championships were not available to the public at that time because the rights to the meets were held by a company that broadcast only a few sports that did not include T&F and XC. These films were shot by an anonymous videographer squinched back up in the top bleachers, so the view was not optimal and there is no commentary. Late in coming, but hopefully we can start to make some amends now to athletes of the States prohibition era.
