Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings to residents living in Mumbai, Thane and Satara as heavy rains lashed across the region. The citizens have been warned to stay indoors and avoid venturing out amid the heavy rain causing potentially serious hurt and injury. Mumbai has witnessed heavy rains and winds, several regions also reported water logging and damage to property.
A similar situation was witnessed across Gujarat as well, where the Jamnagar dam has reportedly overflown. The National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) has been deployed in the area to conduct rescue operations in the region.
