STORYLINE:
An estimated two thousand demonstrators took to the streets of Ramadi after prayers on Friday, to protest against the bombing three days ago of the holy Shiite shrine in Samarra.
Protesters called for an end to violence from all sides and condemned both the Samarra blast and subsequent retaliations against Sunni mosques.
"We in Iraq, Sunnis, Shiite, Christians and Kurds, are brothers. We have no differences," said one protester.
Wednesday's attack against the Samarra mosque destroyed the shrine's golden dome and triggered sectarian violence across the country which has so far left 140 people dead.
It also triggered a wave of reprisal attacks against more than 180 Sunni mosques, pushing the country to the brink of civil war.
