Hundreds of Palestinian protesters in the West Bank turned burned Israeli and American flags on Monday to show support for the arrested Kurdish chief, Abdullah Ocalan.
Five-hundred students took part in a rally organised by the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (D-F-L-P) to mark their anniversary.
They turned the event into a demonstration against Turkey's arrest of Ocalan.
Israel became involved in the Ocalan affair after allegations began to circulate that its secret security service, Mossad, helped Turkey to capture the Kurdish guerilla leader.
Masked members of the D-F-L-P marched through the An-Najah University in the West Bank city of Nablus on Monday to mark the organisation's anniversary.
A crowd of 5-hundred students had gathered for the event.
But the anniversary was soon forgotten when some of the protestors turned the rally into a protest against Turkey's arrest of Kurdish rebel leader Abdullah Ocalan.
Demonstrators held pictures of Ocalan and burnt U-S and Israeli flags to show their anger after three Kurdish protestors were killed by security guards at the Israeli embassy in Berlin last week.
Israel has been accused of using agents from the secret security service Mossad to help Turkey track down Ocalan.
But the Israeli government has strenuously denied the allegations.
The protestors also destroyed a Turkish flag in anger at the government in Ankara who are holding Ocalan.
