What is IrRational Music?
Elliott Sharp, a central figure of the New York Downtown scene has been mulling this over for decades and the attempt to answer these questions has taken him down many interlinking paths. As a musician, a composer, a thinker, he embarked on this pursuit of IrRational Music in the late 1960's while still a teen. It took him deeper and deeper into many realms. Along the way, he explored guitars, saxophones, clarinets, synthesizers, and computers (not to mention math, science, and philosophies) and has used them to make music and art.
