Baffles play an important role in keeping your attic vented and protect against moisture. Many times though, they can easily get overlooked or installed improperly during the construction process. Note that baffles and soffit venting are required only in attics above a heated space or attics attached to other attics over heated spaces. For example, an unheated, detached garage would not require baffles.
