In this video, I'll show you the track run activity on the Garmin Forerunner 55 for when you are running around a standard 400m track. This activity type will allow you to calibrate the GPS so that it will record your laps and provide split information after you've completed your run.
This is an outdoor activity type and so you will need to be outside for this as you'll be using GPS signals to calculate your distance & speed.
1. Press START and scroll down to find TRACK RUN
2. Wait for GPS signal acquisition
3. Once you are at the timer screen (0:00) you can press START/STOP button to start your run and record your activity if you are running in lane 1.
If you are running in another lane other than 1, then PRESS UP to get to the Track Run SETTINGS.
4. Enter the running lane in LANE NUMBER.
5. Press LAP to go back to your timer screen and start your activity. After 3 laps, the Forerunner 55 will calibrate itself.
6. Press START/STOP once done your activity.
7. Select if you want to SAVE, DISCARD or RESUME your activity. 🛰️Shop Recommended Garmin Products 🛰️
