Vice President Mike Pence defended Donald Trump for slamming "so-called" U.S. District Judge James Robart in Seattle. Judge Robart issued a temporary restraining order which lifted the Trump Travel Ban on seven predominately muslim countries.
ABC News "This Week" anchor George Stephanopoulos asked Mike Pence: “Is it right for the president to say ‘so-called’ judge’? Doesn’t that undermine the separation of powers in the constitution?”
“I don’t think it does,” answered the Vice President. “I think the American people are very accustomed to this president speaking his mind and speaking very straight with them.”
"Our administration is going to be using all legal means at our disposal to challenge the judge’s order.”
Federal judge James Robart of the United States District Court - Western District of Washington issued a nationwide temporary restraining order to block Donald Trump's Executive Order to ban travel from seven muslim nations into the United States.
The Trump White House statement says the U.S. Justice Department would “at the earliest possible time” file an emergency stay of the “outrageous” ruling from Judge Robart.
