In this webinar, we talked about how chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) is treated and managed today and what is on the horizon: how is a therapy chosen, prognosis and treatment suitability determined and what level of involvement should patients expect in their care decisions.
The webinar seeks to explain the different types of CML treatments and long term management strategies, who can have a particular therapy or management strategy, how they work and impact on quality of life and daily living.
We were joined by:
Professor Adam Mead, Professor of haematology, Churchill Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Professor Mhairi Copeland, Professor of Translational Haematology (Paul O’Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre), Glasgow University.
Joanna Large, ANP & CNS for CML at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Melanie Joy Hänni, CML patient
