In this video I get the White Oak blow down out of the woods and milled into some beams and lumber to be used in the South Coast Home Build. This white oak got blown down in a storm a couple years ago and I was able to get it cut into some nice saw logs. We decided to do a timber frame detail on the front porch, so we got a timber king sawmill to come out and mill these logs into some beams as well as some 8/4 boards that I am hoping to use for a dining table build in the future. Super excited to be using wood from the homestead in the build of the house. Go check out my home build channel, @southcoasthome to follow along with progress on the home build.
