In anticipation of Sonic X Shadow Generations, I thought it would be fun to revisit the original game, Sonic Generations. This particular game holds a special place in my heart, as it was my proper introduction into the Sonic games. It was the first Sonic game I ever owned, and I've been playing ever since. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us when the new game comes out. I'm so excited! I hope this series will help to prepare you for the new game!
Sonic Generations was released on November 1, 2011, on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC to commemorate Sonic's 20th anniversary. It is currently available for purchase on Steam.
In this video, we will cover the Death Egg Robot Boss Battle on both Normal and hard modes. The Death Egg Robot is a giant mech created by and made to resemble Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. It first appeared as the final boss in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis in 1992, and began the common trope of mechs built in Eggman's image. Since then, the Death Egg Robot has made multiple appearances in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, reappearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 (2010), Sonic Generations (2011), Lego Dimensions (2016), Sonic Mania (2017), and Sonic Rumble (TBD). it has also appeared in media outside the games, including the manga, Fleetway, Archie, and IDW comics; in toy form as well as a Lego set; and even made an appearance in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film.
