Fit for country rhythm playing as well as searing blues leads, the Gibson Southern Jumbo is one of Gibson’s most revered acoustics, and this 1955 SJ is a prime example. First introduced in the 1940’s, the flat-top Southern Jumbo was Gibson’s “deluxe” version of their beloved slope-shouldered J-45.
