In this video you'll learn a powerful way to set goals for maximum, permanent weight loss. Julie Nygard, author of "The Last Damn Diet," shares the technique here, as well as goals (below) you can copy and learn to increase your success.
Note: Put your own goal weight into each sentence. Also, if you don't like the sentence, change it to something more natural for you. Remember to begin with the end in mind--embrace your program from the perspective of a person who already weighs what you want to weigh.
Ask yourself these questions and allow yourself to FEEL the answers, a key to subconscious programming.
1. What does it feel like to weigh _____ pounds? I naturally and easily know what it feels like to weigh _____ pounds.
2. What does a person who weighs ______ eat for breakfast / lunch / dinner? I naturally know what a person who weighs _____ eats, and I know when to stop eating to maintain this weight.
3. What does a person who weighs _____ use for snacking? I'm naturally drawn to snacks that a person who weighs _____ eats.
4. What exercise does a person who weighs ______ like to participate in? OR Now that I'm _____ pounds, I enjoy _______ sports and/or activities? I enjoy participating in the activities I enjoy.
5. What does a person who weighs ______ like to wear? I feel great wearing ______, now that I'm my goal weight (allow yourself to have these feelings).
6. How does a person who weighs exactly what they'd like to weight feel? (Let yourself experience these feelings every day, regardless of your weight)
7. One of the things I love about being ______ (your goal weight) is _____ (something you imagine).
8. I love the new _______ that I bought when I reached my goal weight.
Put photos of yourself at your goal weight up. If you've never been your goal weight, put realistic photos of someone who is your weight up where you can see them daily. Do NOT put photos of a huge person up with an X through it, or some other negative image. Remember, you are programming your subconscious, so much give it ONLY what you want.
