he F-35 Lightning II Pax River Integrated Test Force (ITF) is 100 percent complete with its second F-35C developmental test (DT-II) phase. The DT-II testing was conducted aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) from October 2-10 and featured 66 catapults and 66 arrestments across 17 flights, logged 26.5 flight hours and achieved a total of 280 flight test points and 17 logistics test and evaluation (LT&E) test points. The Pax River ITF completed carrier suitability and integration testing of the F-35C in the at-sea environment six days early. A series of test events designed to gradually expand the aircraft operating envelope enabled the team to conduct routine F-35C operations in preparation for Navy F-35C initial operating capability (IOC) in 2018.
