In this sing-talk TEDx Talk Shibani Kashyap shares her journey as a woman singer-composer in the male dominated bollywood industry.
She began her journey with timeless jingles for the Government of India's Radio music channel - AIR-fm (All India Radio) in early nineties and went on to become one of the few woman playback singers/composers in bollywood. She started the trend for playback singers to feature on the silver screen and has since been a household name.
In recent times Shibani has composed and recorded several songs on social issues she feels passionate about - including drunken driving and women empowerment.
Shibani Kashyap, is a renowned singer, composer and a performer who has generated ripples with her albums, performances and Bollywood compositions. She is accredited with being the only woman singer-composer of her time, as well as the only playback singer who regularly featured on the silver screen.

Shibani, has recently performed at the 45th Independence day of Mauritius, in Mauritius having the President of India as the guest of honor, Prime Minister of Mauritius and many dignitaries as the audience. Shibani has also performed for the opening ceremony of the Common Wealth Games 2010 in New Delhi and has performed for the Pravasiya Bharatiya Divas at Canada in the year 2011.
