BRANDENBURG: Wenn der Wolf kommt! Rasantes Wachstum der Population I WELT News
Wölfe haben in Brandenburg in den ersten neun Monaten dieses Jahres bereits mehr Nutztiere gerissen, als im gesamten Jahr zuvor. Schafe, Ziegen oder Kühe - 947 gerissene Weidetiere von Januar bis September. Zum Vergleich: 2020 waren es insgesamt 805 Nutztiere, die von Wölfen angefallen wurden. Das berichtet der Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg und beruft sich auf die jüngste Statistik des Landesamtes für Umwelt. Die Behörden erklären den Anstieg vor allem mit der wachsenden Zahl der Wolfsrudel, die in Brandenburg leben. Die Tiere sind streng geschützt und haben keine natürlichen Feinde.
