The goal of Burke Rehabilitation's Neurological Rehabilitation Program is to provide the most comprehensive and effective rehabilitation to maximize recovery from physical, cognitive and psychological impairments caused by traumatic and acquired brain injuries.

The interdisciplinary rehabilitation team consists of you and your family or caregiver, and medical, nursing and other rehabilitation specialists. The professionals on the team will assess your medical and rehabilitation needs and work with you to establish your individual goals. In close collaboration, the team designs and implements your treatment program.

Throughout your treatment, the entire team meets formally once per week to discuss your progress. Family members and caregivers are encouraged to attend and participate in treatment sessions and patient care as appropriate. A series of educational lectures and discussions for families and other caregivers on various topics related to neurological conditions is conducted by team members once a week.

Burke's Neurological Rehabilitation team is committed to:
1. Providing the highest quality, patient-focused rehabilitation through an interdisciplinary approach emphasizing communication, collaboration and cooperation.

2. Establishing an optimal model for patient centered, cost effective, interdisciplinary rehabilitative care of the individual with a brain injury.

We serve adolescent through elderly patients, with diagnoses such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, Guillian-Barre syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, peripheral nervous system disease, subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, anoxic encephalopathy, brain tumors, aneurysm repair, Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA), toxic/metabolic encephalopathy, brain abscesses, encephalitis and meningitis.
