Starting from the Ottoman raids throughout the Adriatic Sea which caused a pressure upon Balkan populations. They arrived in #abruzzo and taught local people how to cook the meat of the sheep which were unproductive or no longer able to continue their journey to Puglia during the TRANSUMANZA along the TRATTURO.
This is also the story of two Swiss linguists who studied the life of peasant people during the thirties, when #arrosticini were still prepared upon a line of bricks in Civitaquana.
