Harvard College began in 1636 to educate clergy who were white, male Puritans. Today, Harvard’s class of 2020 is majority minority. "The educational element of experiencing diverse individuals, people who are different from you, people who challenge you, people who expose you to new perspectives on the world—that's what Harvard is all about," says the school's president, Drew Faust.
