Tested Unreal Engine 5 real time destruction with Chaos and Niagara. There is nothing better than changing parameters and seeing the whole simulation in real time.
Chaos requires air-tight geometry which was quickly created in Blender and the fracturing and physical parameters were set inside Unreal. The simulation was integrated with Niagara system for smoke and dirt.
Chaos feels much more intuitive now than what I had earlier imagined! I had a lot of fun blowing buildings up! Other buildings and props are from the Downtown west modular pack from marketplace.
Next stop is adding Niagara pyro FX and frame rate optimisation for this.
