Short, medium and long-term corruption trends for Slovenia and neighbouring Western European/EU countries are presented in this video using scores published by Transparency International in their 2023 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) report.
The video reviews Slovenia’s performance in addressing corruption in the periods 2012-2023, 2018-2023 and 2022-2023.
Slovenia’s CPI score recorded an overall moderate decline in 2012-2023. The country’s CPI score declined in 2012-2013 but recovered in 2013-2016 and subsequently steadily declined in 2017-2022.
The rate of change in the country’s CPI score was less than the rate of change in average Western European/EU and global CPI scores in 2012-2023 and 2018-2023.
While Slovenia’s CPI score exceeded average global CPI scores continuously throughout 2012-2023, it was below average Western European/EU CPI scores during this period. #corruption #slovenia #europe
