The Dutch company Carice Cars presented its second model — the Carice TC2 electric roadster. The first was also a roadster and also electric — Carice MK1, which debuted back in 2013.
The car, designed in the style of the Porsche 356 Speedster, featured a plastic body on a steel frame. It weighed only 350 kg and was offered with electric motors with power from 5 to 54 hp. The price tag of the Carice MK1 started at 26,620 euros. How many copies were realized remains a mystery. From 2017 to today, the company has not mentioned itself.
The new electric roadster Carice TC2 is a redesigned version of its predecessor, which looks like the same Porsche 356 Speedster. The body is dominated by plastic. The salon is decorated with leather and equipped with more comfortable seats. There are pockets for things on the door cards. In the center of the front panel there is an instrument panel with control lamps and switches around it. There is no multimedia screen or climate control in the Carice TC2. A folding fabric roof protects the driver and passenger from wind and rain.
The compact "double door" is equipped with a 54-horsepower electric motor and a traction battery with a capacity of 31.5 kWh. The car's range will exceed 300 km. Curb weight is 630 kg.
The Carice TC2 price tag starts at 53,854 euros. The debut batch is already sold out. Deliveries of roadsters to customers will begin in a few months. Production will be established at the company's small plant in Voorhout, the Netherlands.
