This is LInux User Satisfaction with Linux tutorials to make its users satisfied. So first of all, open terminal and type in the following commands. First one is sudo fdisk -l. Then once its done, you can choose whichever USB drive you have connected to your computer socket. So here mine is /dev/sdb1. Yours can be something else. So we can determine the name of the USB by looking at the size. So after you determine which is your drive, type in sudo wipefs --all /dev/sdb1. Click enter. Then once you do that type in the following command which is sudo cfdisk /dev/sdb1 and then your USB device. Then just hit enter and here you select dos. Now click on new. Now just press enter, primary - yes and then you need to write it. So just click on write and type yes. So you can just quit it. Just go to quit and hit enter. Now type in sudo mkfs.vfat -n ‘LUS’ /dev/sdb1. Here, LUS is whatever we want the USB device to be named as. So in my case its LUS and you have to keep a space and then type in your USB device. Now close the terminal and check if the device is working in your system. So here let’s just open up our file manager. So here if I scroll down you can see my device which was not there previously sorry if I didn’t show that. But it was not there previously so now you can see my USB drive named as LUS and now it is perfectly working. So guys thank you for watching and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel and also like this video.
