With the basics regarding phylum Platyhelminthes covered, it's time to start digging into the clades within. Free-living flatworms were originally classified within the class Turbellaria. But more recently the clades needed to be rearranged, so instead this tutorial will focus on members of Rhabditophora. Specifically within, we will focus on clades Polycladida and Tricladida. This includes the well-known planarians like Dugesia. What do we know about these species? Let's find out!
