This is Episode 1 in a two-part series where you'll learn the Schillinger System approach to harmonising a chromatic melody with chromatic harmony, as discussed in Book 6 in his musical composition system. In Part 1 you'll see the fundamentals, an overview of the essential elements of the chromatic system of harmony and a demonstration of the two-step harmonization process. In Part 2 we will look at an example application: a four-minute orchestral composition based on the chromatic harmonization technique, and incorporates additional Schillinger techniques for writing music.
