Q:1). Draw the figure on the grid as A and do the rotation clockwise by 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Write the co-ordinates of the vertices of the rotated shape. A ( 1, 6 ), B ( 6, 5 ), C ( 0, 0 ).
Solution: For 90 degree clockwise rotation rule of thumb is: Change the sign of x-coordinates and interchange the coordinates.
For 180 degree clockwise rotation change the sign of both x and y coordinates.
For 270 degree clockwise rotation rule is to change the sign of y coordinate, then interchange the coordinates.
