What makes our tiles so distinct from others?
There are three significant differences in our encaustic cement tiles.
Unlike many other producers, we don't use digital cutting machines or 3D printers to create our moulds. Fourth-generation artisans handcraft our encaustic cement tile moulds with traditional techniques. It provides a natural look and imperfection to the lines and patterns and avoids the perfect look of machine-cutting moulds.
Our encaustic cement tiles look natural and reclaimed like a genuine handmade encaustic tile is supposed to look. The polish and spotless perfect look isn't the characteristic of an authentic handmade encaustic tile. To achieve and sustain these quality standards, we use the finest natural colour pigments and the original production techniques.
They are literally durable and long-lasting. The average thickness of an encaustic cement tile on the market is around 15 to 18 mm, and 3 to 5 mm of this thickness is the colour layer. But we use the thickest colour layer on the market. Our encaustic cement tiles are 17mm, and the colour layer is around 7 to 8mm. That means you have a thicker colour layer and more room to sand. You can sand and seal our tiles years after the installation and regain the day one look.
