#tradwife is a growing movement where women are leaving the workforce, finding a man to marry, submitting to him, depending on him financially, and going back to traditional gender roles. the woman cooks, cleans, looks after her husband and children and the husband works. it’s almost like we’re heading back 100 years to a time where women actually didn’t work - not because they didn’t want to, but because their men didn’t let them. they weren’t allowed to. hence why the suffragette movement was so neccassary. it seems strange that women now, in 2023 are romanticising traditional gender roles, and being submissive to men. could there actually be a good reason these women feel called to revert to a time where things seemed simpler? lets explore.
