#shorts I am fascinated by old buildings and old cathedrals. How did people make those?
Was it possible to build these magnificent buildings with just handmade wooden technology?
In 2006, a group of history buffs put it to the test.
They recreated a medieval crane based on illustrations from a 14th century book in Europe.
They built the crane with only hand tools that were available in the medieval time period.
And when complete, they allowed tourists to visit and try it out.
One of the architects commented and said, " It's actually a very nice feeling. You weigh next to nothing, but you can move anything. So it is really powerful."
