As Jammu and Kashmir recorded 10.22 pc voter turnout in the second phase of polls, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on September 25 said that new record will likely be made in Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. He also exuded confidence that they would form a government in Jammu and Kashmir.
“In the first phase of J&K elections the voting percentage was more than 60 pc. There was a time when the voting percentage was in the single digits due to the threats from terrorists...Now, a new record will likely be made...I can with conviction that we will form a government in J&K,” said Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
