Rare disease affects children.
Approximately 50% of the people affected by rare diseases are children.
80% of rare diseases are caused by faulty genes.
Rare diseases affect over 300 million people worldwide.
40% of rare disease patients have been misdiagnosed at least once.
So early & accurate diagnosis is the key.

Some of the rare disease are
Myotonic Dystrophy: A long term genetic disorder that affects muscle function.
Symptoms: Gradually worsening muscle loss and weakness.
Ataxia: Affect various movements, creating difficulties with speech, eye movement and swallowing.
Symptoms: Poor coordination, unsteady walk, change in speech, abnormalities in eye movements, Difficulty swallowing.
Mitochondrial Disorders: Results from failures of the mitochondria.
Symptoms: Muscle Weakness, Severe developmental delays.
Cadasil: Characterized by migraine headaches and multiple strokes, which progresses to dementia.
Symptoms: Cognitive deterioration, Seizures, Vision problems.
Multiple sclerosis: Disease in which the immune system eats away at the protective covering of nerves.
Symptoms: Vision Loss, Pain, Fatigue.
Huntington’s Disease: Nerve cells in the brain break down over time.
Symptoms: Poor coordination, Trouble learning new information.
