Golden Torizo beaten without taking damage. Played in real time on Snes9x v1.43 rerecording.
The first thing you should do is jump and drop a power bomb up in the top right corner of the room where the Torizo statue drops from. This opens the little alcove up there, giving you a place where Torizo can't get to you. Doing this makes the fight a lot easier because you can charge your beam there when you'd otherwise have to be space jumping to avoid Torizo's attacks.
You'll want to use charged ice/wave/plasma beam shots for this fight because, unless you catch it while it's attacking, Torizo will dodge normal missiles and throw super missiles back at you. Keep in mind that you can only charge while on the ground, however, and unless you're fully charged so that you can perform a pseudo-screw attack you won't fire a charged shot when coming out of a somersault. Much of this fight's challenge revolves around finding time to charge up and fire shots while also dodging Torizo's attacks.
Torizo has a few attacks but only one is especially dangerous. That one is its energy waves, which it will fire a large number of in a row. The only good way to avoid these is to keep space jumping above them, or through them with a pseudo-screw attack. Torizo is most vulnerable when it spews item balls from its mouth, during which time you can usually hit it with two charged shots. The balls won't hurt you until they hit the ground and explode, and you can shoot them for energy and item refills. Sometimes when you're close to it Torizo will fire yellow energy rings at the ground, which will explode shortly after impact. But, again, only the explosions from them will hurt you. And, finally, Torizo can release a few eggs which will hatch into what are presumably small Torizo and then fly horizontally at you. They're easy to see coming, since it takes a second for them to hatch, so just space jump over them. When Torizo uses this attack it usually means the next hit or two will kill it.
Just as dangerous as its attacks is Torizo itself. Stay in the air whenever you aren't charging or dropping down to fire, watch out for Torizo's jumping, and don't let it back you into a corner. Fire when you get an opening (just after it jumps is a good time), but don't try to get in a second shot if it fires energy waves or jumps at you.
