On our last day in Ticino we explored the Valle Maggia area.
We had heard of the hidden "Cascata del Salto" waterfall and were determined to find it. This wide waterfall is 60 metres high and ends in a large pool that is great for a refreshing swim.
Anyway, we soon learned that it wasn`t that easy and we ended up getting a little lost on our way there. And yes, we unintentionally might have climbed half a mountain...
In the end though we managed to find the right path and were finally able to jump into the refreshing natural pools of the waterfall.
After all that (unintentional) hiking and swimming we had worked up quite an appetite and were looking forward to having dinner at the restaurant we had tried to get a table at the first night - "Grotto Broggini". Well...see for yourselves how that went.
The next day after a last breakfast at the beautiful "Case di Sotto House & Breakfast", it was time to leave Ticino and drive back home to Zurich.
