Have you ever been in the middle of piping an intricate design and suddenly.... POP!!!! A huge bubble pops in your icing and ruins your decoration. It's so frustrating, isn't it! Have you ever heard of the helicopter technique?

In this video, I will show you a simple and fun technique to easily remove and avoid all those pesky air bubbles in your icing before you start piping. My kids always have a good laugh when they see me swinging bags of icing but it's by far the best method I've found to remove air bubbles in your icing. THE HELICOPTER TECHNIQUE works well with buttercream, royal icing and meringue and is a great way to easily remove and avoid air bubbles in your icing. Trust me, IT WORKS!

You'll notice that I have tips in my bags in this video and you can also use this method without tips. Just fill your bag with icing, hold on tight to the other end and go for it. And no, I am not using double bags. Remember that you must NOT cut your bags before you do this or you'll end up redecorating your kitchen. Been there, done that, ha ha.
