The giant evergreen tree that will light up Rockefeller Center during the Christmas season, a tradition that started in 1933, arrived in New York City Friday. The 10-ton, 78-foot Norway spruce hails from Ulster County, N.Y., 80 miles away, where it was felled and loaded onto a trailer Wednesday. The tree was spotted Thursday night parked outside Rockefeller Center before it was erected Friday.
"O Holy Night" is a well-known Christmas carol composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847 to the French poem "Minuit, chrétiens" (Midnight, Christians) by a wine merchant and poet, Placide Cappeau.
