This young patient presented with two skin tags (fibroma) of the facial skin asked for a scarless (as "scarfree" as possible) removal. We decided to use our radiofrequency device, as this surgical technique minimizes thermal damage of the surrounding and basal tissue that is key for a scarless re-epithelization of the skin. Using an ultra thin electrode, the depth of the ablation can be precisely adjusted to cut only minimally below the level of the surrounding skin.
These excisions are routinely performed in local anaesthesia in an almost pain-free manner.
In this specific case, the removal was performed in general anaesthesia additionally to a major deep neck surgery.
The surgical procedure was recorded with 4k sensor technology.
