The Leicester Charities Marathon was a fairly new event fo Leicester back in 1981 and we thought that it might make an interesting documentary. What we didn't anticipate was the effort involved keeping up with the runners in different locations when using only one camera, but it was the runners who were the real stars and at the end of the filming we had the highest regard for them.
We shot the film on 16mm(film) and entered it in the prestigious 'Ten Best' International Film Competition where it won an award and was included in the 'Ten Best' programme shown at the National Film Theatre in London.
