Join me as I repair and restore this vintage Roland D10 synthesizer from 1988

Issues with this synth:
* Dead keys (dirty contacts and corroded/broken keyboard PCB traces)
* Dead front panel buttons (worn out / dirty switches)
* Empty battery (synth loses all its patches)
* Broken pitch bend / modulation stick (seems to be a common issue with the D-xx series synths)

Apologies for the hair shots - definitely something to improve for next time.

For those interested, the replacement parts are as follows:
* The double sided sticky tape is called 3M 300LSE low surface energy adhesion
* The replacement switches/buttons for the front panel are 5x6x6mm 4 pin momentary switches
* (NOTE! if you're working on a D-5, the push buttons are 5x6x6 2 pin)
* The pitch bend and modulation stick is the same for the D-5, D-10, d-20 or d-50, any from that range will fit this synthesizer.

The unusual white plastic connectors on the motherboard are called "Wire Trap Connectors", and they are easy to both remove and reinstall. You must simply push downwards on the middle part of the connector (basically, the plastic immediately surrounding the cable) - this unclamps the cable, and it can be pulled out with almost no force! The reverse is exactly the same - push the middle part downwards, hold it there, insert the cable and release. The insertion also should take no force when the middle is pressed down correctly.

Sorry for the ugly pcb trace repair. You won't believe it, but i DO actually know how to solder, but apparently filming just makes you lose all your skills :)) If you have any recommendations for good magnet wire or other types of wires to use for this purpose, please let me know.
