New Delhi has been covered in a thick cloak of deadly smog, causing flights to be suspended and schools to close.
The concentration of harmful particles in the air is around 30 times higher than what's considered safe.

The toxic smog has forced United Airlines to suspend its Newark-New Delhi flights.
The company did not say how long the suspension would last, but it has waived some extra charges for passengers forced to reschedule.
Other airlines are travelling there, but it's unclear if they will follow United Airlines' move.
Schools have been closed and the government has banned construction and industrial activity.
Harmful particulate matter known as PM 2.5 was said to be hovering at around 680 as of Sunday afternoon, local time.
World Health Organization guidelines suggest levels above 300 are hazardous and the latest reading is also 30 times what the WHO considers safe.
New Delhi is considering spraying water into the air from fire trucks and water cannons to try wash away what officials are describing as a gas chamber.
The public is being advised to remain indoors and to wear a mask if outside.
The visibility is said to be so poor it’s hard to make out the colors of traffic lights at intersections.
The city is infamous for bad air quality, caused by old cars, trucks and motorbikes spewing pollution unimpeded by mitigation technology.
But, the smog over the past week created what doctors have called a public health emergency.
New Delhi officials are set to push for a plan on Monday to ration the use of private cars.
