Barichara is considered the most beautiful town in Colombia, declared a National Monument in 1978 for being an architectural testimony of the conquest, Barichara is a town capable of transporting all who visit it back in time to colonial times.
Barichara, one of the oldest towns in Colombia, with cobblestone streets, beautiful, colonial houses and wonderful colors.
In the kilometers that have elapsed we will find a road submerged in a desert landscape of red and yellow earth, with winding roads until we reach the town where the art of stone carving is home, it is a road, it is a church, it is art and it is a cemetery.
Barichara is an excellent destination for travelers and their families looking for a quiet place. It is full of small artisan shops, boutique hotels, churches full of history and many, many friendly people.
BARICHARA rises on a vast arid plateau with a temperate climate with clear skies at night…..it is 118 kilometers from Bucaramanga in the department of Santander, 499 kilometers from Medellin and 445 kilometers from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia.
